CURRICULUM STRUCTURE

Birthright Academy uses the Montessori, West African and A.C.E Curriculum.

Montessori Curriculum is given from Pre-Nursery to Nursery 2 students.

West African Curriculum is provided to Secondary Department to enable students to perform effectively in Nigerian and West African standardized examinations.

A.C.E Curriculum is Accelerated Christian Education, an internationally accredited Christian curriculum for Grades 1 to 12 with a passing grade of 80%. Each subject is taught with the Word of God and other individualized, capacity and character-building concepts:

  • classroom procedures have built-in tools to ensure learning, mastery and discipline
  • student makes progress at his own pace and is encouraged to work harder through merited incentives
  • specific forms of materials and formats develop critical thinking and capacity

READING PROGRAMS

Age has little to do with readiness to learn to red.
Birthright Academy has two distinct beginning reading programs for young students. The school has supervisors who implement our reading programs in a professional way.

Kindergarten includes animal sounds and song, physical and coordination development activities, and Bible-based character-building stories. The whole year fosters quick learning of sounds, memory, visual, auditory, coordination, and social skills.

ABC Reading Class is a 12-15 week phonics-based program that students must have learnt to read, can copy notes and learn all other subjects.

The passing score is 80%, without which, the student will be individually tutored until he or she can read his own.
